CRYOn Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker -katselmus on 18.12.2019 klo 19:30 Elokuvateatteri Starissa! 

Vuosi kulminoituu taas uuteen Star Wars-elokuvaan, tällä kertaa episodiin IX, jota CRYO menee katsomaan tunnelmalliseen elokuvateatteri Stariin!

Homma toimii niin, että menet osoitteseen http://www.elokuvateatteristar.fi/naytosajat/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-2d.html ja varaat itsellesi haluamasi paikan keskiviikon 18.12.2019 kello 19:30 näytökseen. Lippu maksaa 14€, ja näytös tulee olemaan 2D:nä kotoisessa Star 2 -salissa. Osa keskeltä varatuista paikoista ovat varattuina jo monillekin cryolaisille, joten ei muuta kuin sekaan vaan!
Huom: sivuille pitää kirjautua sisään/rekisteröityä, jotta pääsee varaamaan paikkoja! 


Liput pitää maksaa vähintään viisitoista minuuttia ennen näytöstä teatterilla, eikä lippuja voi enää varata tuntia ennen näytöstä. Opiskelijat saavat 1 € alennuksen! Huomaa myös, että OYY:n toimistolta opiskelijat saavat Stariin lippuja jopa 9 € hintaan! Kannattaa käyttää siis opiskelijaedut. Starissa saa myös työttömyys-, varusmies (1 €) ja eläkeläisalet (1,50 €).


Porukalla on mukavampaa, joten jos ette ole vielä itsellenne lippuja hankkineet, varatkaa näytökseen äkkiä liput ja nähkäämme 18.12.! 

Mahdollista etkotteluravintolaa tai muuta fiilistelyn aloituspaikkaa ei ole vielä päätetty, mutta sellaista voi ehdottaa kommentoimalla vaikkapa fb-tapahtumaan tai Discordin general-kanavalla. Jatkot pidetään Pub Tuiskussa! CRYOzinejä on myös hyvinkin mahdollisesti saatavilla katselmuksessa!

CRYO goes to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at 18th of December, 19:30 o’clock @ Movie Theater Star! 

CRYO shall again take a look at the newest movie in Star Wars -franchise! This year we will see episode IX of Star Wars, and this time too we will go to our friendly neighborhood movie theater Star to see it!

Here’s how it works:

Go to the address http://www.elokuvateatteristar.fi/naytosajat/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-2d.html and reserve yourself a seat at the showing of Wednesday 18.12.2019, “Alkaa 19:30” and pick the seat you want. The ticket will cost 14€, and the show will be in 2D. Some of the reserved seats in the middle have already been reserved by other cryolings, if you were wondering!

Hox. You’ll have to sign in/register to the site (you can see the sign in -buttons on the right, after you have picked the showing) to reserve seats.

You’ll need to pay for your ticket and claim it at least fifteen minutes before the show at the theater. Also you can’t reserve tickets anymore when there’s only one hour till the showing. With a student card you get 1 € off! But even better, you can get tickets for 9 € at the office of the student union of the university (OYY), if you’re a student! So here’s a chance to use your student discounts. Other discounts available at Star are a 1 € discount for the unemployed and conscripts, as well as a 1,50 € discount for pensioners.

Note that the website of Star is only in Finnish, so ask for help or Google Translate if you need it! 

It’s more fun to go in a group, so if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, be quick to reserve tickets for this showing and we’ll see you on the 18th!

Also, we haven’t decided on a possible starting place to hang out and/or eat before the movie, but you can suggest one by commenting on the fb-event or at the general channel at Discord. We’ll go to Pub Tuisku for afters! There might some CRYOzines for purchase at this movie trip as well!

CRYO ry Syyskokous 2019

Hyvät fetsipäiset kansalaiset,
Olette kutsuttu CRYO ry:n syyskokoukseen 30.11.2019 klo 16.00 Loositalolle (Kaarnatie 36, Oulu, Suomi). Kokouksessa valitaan vuoden 2020 hallitus, puheenjohtaja ja toiminnantarkastaja. Kokoukseen voi osallistua etäyhteydellä CRYO ry:n Discord kanavan kautta (discord ( dot ) gg/5dnWtWg). Tuomme paikalle tietokoneen ja konferenssimikin. Tarvittaessa kokoukseen voi myös ottaa yhteyttä muiden sähköisten yhteyksien kautta. Kokouksen jälkeen alkaa CRYO ry:n pikkujoulut. Kokous ja pikkujoulut ovat vain jäsenille, eli ottakaa jäsenkortit mukaan. Jos teillä ei ole vielä korttia, ja kortti on painettu, sen voi hakea syyskokouksessa.

Muistutuksena CRYO ry päätti kokouksessaan 2.9.2019 ainaisjäsenyyden jäsenmaksun suuruudeksi 0e + aktiivisuusilmoittautumisen. Aktiivisuus kerätään vuoden 2020 alusta lähtien, tarkemmat ohjeet tulevat vuoden lopussa. Vuosijäsenten jäsenmaksuksi päätettiin 5e. Ainaisjäsenten liittymismaksu pysyi 20e:ssa, ja vuosijäsenillä 5e:ssa.

As a reminder, the CRYO ry decided that the yearly fee for lifetime members is 0e + a notification of their willingess to stay as active members of CRYO ry. The instructions on how to send in your notification will be posted later. The activity will be collected starting from 2020. The yearly membership fee is 5e. The joining fee for lifetime members stays at 20e, and 5e for yearly membership.

13.11. Hallituskähmintä


Tervetuloa hallituskähmintään, tai CÄHMINTÄän ™ (CRYOn Älyttömän Hienoon ja Mahtavaan Ihmisten Nappaamisen ja Turinoinnin Äctiön-päctiön-iltaan) 13.11. keskiviikkona Tellus Frost Clubissa klo 18!

Tässä hallitusrekry -iltamassa tarkoitus on esitellä cryolaisille sekä muillekin CRYOn hallituksen ja yleisesti CRYOn toimintaa, sekä mahdollistaa hallituslaisten kanssa hengailu ja hallituspesteistä kyseleminen.

Etsimme uusia hallituslaisia ensi vuoden hallitukseen, joten jos olet hetkeäkään miettinyt että sinua voisi kiinnostaa edistää oululaista peliskeneä, saada noppia järjestötoiminnasta ja matskua CV:hen tai yleisesti avustaa CRYOn toiminnassa millään tavalla, tässä on mahdollisuutesi tulla kuulemaan hommista! CRYOn toiminta on kivaa, joten kannattaa miettiä mukaan lähtemistä!

Pestejä on monia, ja nykyisen hallituksen kokoonpanoon voit halutessasi tutustua nettisivuillamme (https://www.cryo.fi/wordpress/hallitus/), mutta esimerkiksi jos tapahtumien järjestäminen, uusien projektien ideoiminen, sihteerinä toimiminen, tiedottaminen, raha-asioiden järjestely tai puheenjohtajuus kiinnostaa, hallitusrekryssä kuulet ja voit kysyä lisää! Hallituksessa voi olla myös paikka juuri sille toiminimelle, jota sinä ajattelet CRYOn tarvitsevan mutta mitä ei ole vielä olemassa. 

Tapahtumassa on mahdollista tulla myös jäseneksi, jos et sitä vielä ole. Paikalla on myös pikkupurtavaa ja esittelyjen jälkeen hengailemme vapaasti tilassa.

Älä huoli myöskään jos et pääse tähän tapahtumaan paikalle vaikka hallitushommat kiinnostaisi – syyskokous on vasta 30.11. ja siellä päätetään seuraava hallituskokoonpano, joten aikaa on turista esimerkiksi discordissa ja peli-illoissa sinua kiinnostavista pesteistä, tai voit tulla vain syyskokoukseen paikalle ja ilmoittaa että hommat kiinnostelee!

30.11. CRYOn Syyskokous & pikkujoulut (vain jäsenille!)


CRYO ry:n syyskokous ja pikkujoulut tulevat taas! 
Lauantaina 30.11. vietämme cryolaisten kesken joulujuhlaa Loositalolla Alppilan kupeessa. 

Aloitamme tuttuun tapaan syyskokouksella klo 16, johon kaikki CRYOn jäsenet ovat tervetulleita osallistumaan. Kokouksessa valitaan tulevan kauden puheenjohtaja ja muu hallitus, joten jos joku pesti kiinnostaa tai haluat jotenkin tulla toimintaan mukaan, kannattaa ehdottomasti osallistua! Ja vaikka et haluaisikaan lähteä tällä kertaa hallitukseen, niin silti kannattaa tulla mukaan valitsemaan seuraavaa hallitusta. Kokouksessa käsitellään myös seuraavan vuoden toimintasuunnitelma ja tulo- ja menoarvio, kannattaa siis vaikuttaa! 

Kokouksen jälkeen (tod.näk. n. klo 18-19) siirrymme juhlaosuuteen, jossa tarjolla on jouluista purtavaa ja juotavaa, sekä pientä ohjelmaa. Illalla sauna myös lämpiää, ota siis pyyhe matkaan!
Paikalla on sauna ja keittiö, sekä astioita saa käyttää. Kannattaa tuoda omat varsinaiset ruoat ja juomat paikalle, jos kovasti hiukoo tai kaljea haluaa! Pirskeet jatkuvat yöhön asti, mutta jossain vaiheessa etsiydymme jatkopaikkaan tahi kotia kohti juhlapaikalta.

Tapahtuma on vain jäsenille. Jos olet uusi jäsen niin muista ottaa korttisi mukaan varmuuden vuoksi!

13.11. Board Recruitment


Welcome to our Board Recruitment event, or CÄHMINTÄ, on Wednesday 13.11. at Tellus Frost Club at 18! In this recruitment event we will be presenting CRYO’s board activities (as well as CRYO’s activities in general) to CRYO-members and all others interested. We also want to make it possible for you to hang out with and ask about the positions in the CRYO board from our board members.

We are looking for new board members for the next year, so if you have at some point thought (or thinking now!) that it could be nice to advande our gaming scene here in Oulu, get credits for working in an organization and content to your CV, or just generally want to help in CRYO’s activities in some way, this is your chance to hear about us! Being in CRYO’s board is fun, so you should definitely think about joining! 


There are many position in the board, and you can see what kind of jobs we have in this year’s board at our website (this part only in Finnish, https://www.cryo.fi/wordpress/hallitus/), but if you’d be interested in e.g. organizing events, thinking up new and fun projects, being a secretary, informing, handling money as a treasurer or becoming the chairperson, come to the event and ask more! There also could be a place in the board for a position that you think it should have, but it doesn’t have yet!

It will be possible to become a member at the event if you’re not one already. At the event there is also snacks, and after the presentations we will be hanging out freely in Frost Club. 

But don’t worry if you can’t make it but wanted to learn more about CRYO board – the Fall meeting is on 30.11. and there the decisions about the next board will be made, so there’s plenty of time to discuss positions that you are interested in on discord and at game nights, or you can just arrive at the meeting and let it be known there what you’d like to be doing!

30.11. CRYO’s Fall Meeting & Christmas Party (members only!)


CRYO ry’s annual Fall meeting comes once again, and with that comes the Christmas party! We will be celebrating christmas times with fellow cryolings at the Loositalo (Lodge house) in Alppila area, on Saturday 30.11.

We start with our Fall meeting as usual, and the starting time is at 16. All CRYO members are warmly welcomed to participate, and for our English-speaking members we will make efforts to translate the agendas and hold the discussions in English as well. At the meeting we will be choosing the next chairperson and the rest of the board for the new year, so if you’re interested in any of the positions in the board or just want to take part in board activities somehow, then definitely come and join the meeting! Even if you’re not into that, it’s still worthwile to come to the meeting, as you can use your voice and help choose the board. We will also be going over CRYO’s action plan and budget, so come discuss it! 

After the meeting we will start with the evening’s festivities, where there will be christmasy snacks and non-alcoholic beverages on offer, as well as some small program. Sauna will also be warm for the evening, so remember to bring your towel!

At the venue there is sauna and a kitchen, and you may use the dishes. It’s advisable to bring your own food and beers if you get hungry or get a hunkering for alcohol! The party will last into the night, but at some point we will have to move either to an after party or to the embrace of your own home, or some other location.

This event is members only. If you are a new member, take your membership card with you just in case!
