Maracon XXIII tekee tuloaan. Tapahtuma alkaa perjantaina 20.11 klo 21 ja päättyy sunnuntaina 22.11 klo 22.
Tapahtumapaikkana palvelee tällä kertaa Puolivälinkankaan nuorisotalo (Mielikintie 7) - eikä siis totuttu paikkamme.
Tämäkin Maracon on ehdottomasti päihteetön, ja edellyttää täysi-ikäisyyttä, mutta osallistuminen ei myöskään maksa mitään.
Tapahtumassa on tuttu noppakisa, jonka kilpailuvälineenä käytetään tuttua ja turvalliseksi todettua CRYO:n virallista noppakisan noppaa! Maraconissa on myös figumaalauskisa kahdella sarjalla: Aloittelijoiden sarja ja ns. PRO-sarja. Palkinnot ja figumaalauskisan tarvikkeet sponsoroi Fantasiapelit Oulu. Figumaalauskisa alkaa lauantaina PRO-sarjalla kello 12 ja kestää kolme tuntia. Sen jälkeen on vuorossa aloittelijoiden sarja, joka kestää hieman vähemmän aikaa, noin tunnin. Paikan päällä enemmän informaatiota - voit myös kysyä livenä tietoa etukäteen hallituslaisilta Fantsuexculla torstaina.
Tule pelaamaan ja pelauttamaan rooli-, lauta-, kortti-, figuuri- ja strategiapelejä viikonlopuksi hyvään seuraan ja huonohkon huumorin äärelle!
Pysykäähän riittävän terveinä Maraconia varten, ja tuokaahan ystävännekin paikalle!

Maracon XXIII is coming and soon!
The Oulu University Roleplaying Society CRYO ry is organizing an event which lasts for one whole weekend and is completely free of charge. This event, Maracon, aims to promote tabletop gaming culture in Oulu and is held officially twice a year, the upcoming one already being the 23rd incarnation.
The event is held at the Puolivälinkangas youth centre (in Finnish: Puolivälinkankaan nuorisotalo) with a street address of Mielikintie 7. The doors open on Friday 20th November at 21 o'clock, and the event ends on Sunday 22nd November at 22 o'clock.
In this event, you get to familiarize yourself with loads of (more or less) weird and (always) wonderful roleplaying games, boardgames, miniature games, card games and strategy games in a comfortably warm indoor environment. It is, after all, the dark Finnish winter outside.
This Maracon has to offer the annual dice rolling championships, where you can show off your skills and win amazing prizes! But alas, this challenging game of hand-eye coordination relies also heavily on luck, and as we know, Lady Luck can be fickle at times...
But that is not all, as we also have a miniature painting competition, with leagues for both beginners and more experienced painters. The miniatures, paints and the paintbrushes are sponsored by Fantasiapelit Oulu for the event.
The event is open to all aged 18 or over (please note that the youth centre prohibits drinking of alcohol on the premises). See you at Maracon!

Participation does not require you to have a membership in anything really.
